Gary and his son were the best! I had an unexpected kitchen flood, and Gary helped me through it. He helped me from start to finish. He was there to assist when the field adjustor came and answered all questions I had. Gary finished all of his work in a neat and timely manner. We were in the process of renovating our basement after demolishing the old setup.   We contacted Gary to give us an estimate about the overall cost of the basement based upon what we were looking to do and then what each room would cost individually (a la carte if you will).  This allowed us the flexibility to choose what was best for us, while still moving forward with the overall house renovations.  We elected to have them put in a bedroom to start the new basement floor plan, which was the first of three projects we had done by GDK over the span of couple months. From the time that we chose to go with GDK until the end of the project, we could not have been move pleased with the process and the end result for each project. Gary was forthright in his communication with us and he and his crew would promptly show up when scheduled.  They would give us an update on what they planned on working on and would pretty much work throughout the day to accomplish those tasks - when the day was over they would tell us what they were able to do and what the plan was moving forward.  They also asked for our opinion about certain aspects of the job as it progressed during the day. We also had them do a quick drywall of a section in an upstairs bedroom because we liked their work so much during our original downstairs project We then decided after rearranging the house a bit to hire GDK to touch up some drywall and paint the other bedroom and also install a battery back up sump pump. It's hard to find contractors who communicate as well as Gary does and does quality work as well - we are happy that we found them and so is the house! Very pleased with the work done by Gary and Tyler. They both were skilled, pleasant and cleaned up the area they worked on. Our job was very small (remove old rotted wood railing and posts(that were not anchored) on front porch and replaced with 2 new wood posts that were anchored to concrete patio and then wrapped in pvc vinyl. I had a 15 yr. old composite deck that unfortunately was not built to specs and needed to be shored up at the very least.  I asked Gary what my options were.  I was looking for a solution other than a major renovation, and he knew exactly what to do to shore up the floor joists without breaking the bank.  I am very happy with the result.  My deck is stronger than the day it was built...no more sagging floor!  Gary came out on a Sunday for the estimate, and the job was done on Friday!
